At Rephrase Filmworks our mission is to amplify the stories of women of colour, creating a platform that empowers and celebrates our diverse stories.
Representation matters. We work collaboratively to amplify voices that have been overlooked, misrepresented and underrepresented in screen-based media.
We specialize in developing and producing compelling digital, film, and television projects that authentically capture the diverse experiences of women of colour.
Our roster of story editors, story consultants, and cultural consultants are passionate about bringing authentic female-first narratives to life.
While our producers, production managers and sustainability consultants ensure crews and productions comply with evolving ESG standards.

Founded in 1997 by president and producer Trish Dolman, Screen Siren Pictures has since established itself as a premier independent production company in the Canadian media landscape. In 2009, Trish joined forces with feature film veteran Christine Haebler to form the dynamite producer duo that now spearheads the company. With a focus on international co-productions and partnerships, we bring creative energy and established local and global industry relationships to all projects. Screen Siren Pictures continues to build its operation and strengthen its reputation, and we are committed to being a leader in the production of Canadian film, television and new media.

SEVEN24 Films is an independent film and television production company whose work has spanned over two decades. Executive Producers Tom Cox and Jordy Randall have produced dramatic series, mini-series, television movies and feature films garnering over one hundred industry awards and nominations.

Shaftesbury, an award-winning creator and producer of original content, was established in 1987 by Christina Jennings, Chairman and President. Shaftesbury's current primetime slate includes 18 seasons of the international hit series Murdoch Mysteries for CBC Television, Acorn TV, Ovation TV and Alibi Channel, and seven seasons of Hudson & Rex for Citytv, UPtv and Alibi Channel. Both series are available in over 120 countries worldwide.  

Other productions include: six seasons of the horror anthology seriesSlasher on Shudder and Hollywood Suite, with Emmy® Award-winner Eric McCormack starring in the fifth season; three seasons of theDeparture for Global starring Emmy® Award-winner Archie Panjabi and the late Academy® Award-winner Christopher Plummer; andSisterS, an Irish-Canadian co-production starring Sarah Goldberg (Barry) and Susan Stanley, for Crave, RTÉ and IFC. Most recently, production wrapped on the one-hour crime drama Underbelly (starring Stephen Amell, Hamza Haq, Tamara Podemski and Emmy® and Academy Award®-nominee Minnie Driver) for Crave, and Irish Blood - an Irish-Canadian co-production starring Alicia Silverstone for AMC/Acorn TV.

Shut Up & Colour is a boutique production company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Primarily a feature film company, S&C has roots in commercials and music videos and a future in television. We aspire to transition our personal values related to sustainability to our professional values and have been taking steps in that direction on individual productions.
